Can the au pair use JoHo insurance only? 

• No, JoHo insurance is supplemental and cannot replace mandatory Dutch health insurance. 
• JoHo provides interim coverage before Dutch Basic Healthcare insurance is arranged and also covers:
  • • Deductibles not reimbursed by Dutch insurance (depends on the au pair policy selected.)  
    • Emergency medical costs. 
    • Other non-medical factors such as travel insurance, lost / stolen items, liability etc.  Please see JoHo website for full details.
