Does the au pair need Dutch Basic Healthcare Insurance (basisverzekering)?

• Yes, the Dutch Basic Healthcare insurance is mandatory and must be arranged within four months of arrival. 
• All residents of The Netherlands, including au pairs, are required to have health insurance.
