What if the au pair doesn’t have a Dutch mobile number yet? 

The au pair can use an international number temporarily but should obtain a Dutch SIM card as soon as possible. Providers like Lebara or KPN offer  affordable options.

Important Update — Philippine Au Pair Contracts

The Philippine Embassy in the Netherlands has announced that, starting 1 July 2026, the notarisation of au pair contracts for Filipino nationals will be suspended pending a review of the au pair programme.
